The 2023 Nebbiolo d’Alba from Francesco Rinaldi & Figli is the estate’s most approachable expression of Nebbiolo. The fruit comes from the Verduno area and is fermented the traditional way in cement with regular pump-overs, then rested for a year in medium-sized Slavonian oak and several months in bottle. It is a fresh, floral red that shows Piedmont’s signature grape without the long wait that Barolo asks for.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Moderately intense ruby red.
Aromas: Delicate and airy, with rose petal, hibiscus and fresh red fruit.
Palate: Dry and medium‑bodied with a pomegranate‑like core of red fruit that is gentle but persistent, leading to a fresh, lingering finish.
