The 2020 Wellenburg from Baron Longo is the estate’s Bordeaux‑style red, blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The vineyards sit in the south‑facing Unterland of South Tyrol at about 270 metres, on calcareous late glacial deposits over porphyry, with 40‑year‑old pergola‑trained Cabernet Sauvignon. Fermentation is spontaneous in open tonneaux, followed by around 20 months in French barriques and further time in bottle. Refined and age‑worthy.

Colour: Intense ruby red.
Aromas: Red fruit and berries with herbal notes and light spice.
Palate: Balanced and velvety, with soft, polished tannins and a persistent, elegant finish.
