The 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva from Casina di Cornia is a traditional, long-aged Sangiovese from an organic estate in Castellina in Chianti. Grown on deep clay-limestone soils and made in a classic style with a gentle touch of oak, it shows mature, savoury Chianti character with the structure to keep developing.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Medium-deep ruby with a paler rim.
Aromas: Cherry and red berries with dried herbs, floral notes, a hint of dried tomato and a touch of oak.
Palate: Full and dense yet rounded, with ripe fruit, grainy tannins, bright acidity and a long, traditional finish.
