The 2018 St. Émilion Grand Cru from Château Queyron Pindefleurs is a Merlot-led Right Bank red from a family-run estate that has been in the Fillon family since 1937. Grown on clay-limestone and gravelly soils and aged in oak, the 2018 is now in a lovely place to drink, with cassis, plum and fine tannins.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Deep ruby.
Aromas: Cassis, black cherry and plum with violet, cocoa, liquorice and toasted oak.
Palate: Medium to full bodied and dry, with fresh acidity, fine tannins and a long, savoury finish.
