The 2019 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico from Paolo Cottini is a big, structured red from the Valpolicella Classica heartland. It blends about 55% Corvina, 35% Corvinone and 10% Rondinella, with the grapes partially dried for 90 to 110 days before fermentation to concentrate sugars and flavour. The wine then ages for an extended period in French oak barriques. Bold, powerful and complex.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Deep, dark ruby red.
Aromas: Kirsch and red liquorice with floral notes, cocoa and mocha, and ripe cherry and blackberry fruit.
Palate: Full‑bodied and silky, balanced by creamy oak, firm tannins and lively acidity, with a long, warming finish.
