The 2022 Fleur de Chardonnay Brut from Domaine Mallet is a Blanc de Blancs from a Marne Valley grower better known for Pinot Meunier. Pure Chardonnay, it is fine, floral and fresh, with the citrus precision and chalky lift that make Chardonnay Champagne so refreshing.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Pale gold with a delicate, persistent mousse.
Aromas: White flowers, lemon, green apple and pear, with a hint of brioche and almond.
Palate: Crisp and elegant, with bright citrus fruit, a mineral thread and a clean, refreshing finish.
