The 2020 St. Émilion Grand Cru from Château Queyron Pindefleurs is a Merlot-led Right Bank red from a family-run estate that has been in the Fillon family since 1937. Its roughly 14 hectares sit on clay-limestone and gravelly soils, and 2020 was a warm, dry Merlot vintage with low yields and concentrated fruit.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Deep ruby.
Aromas: Crushed blackberry and plum with liquorice, cardamom and a hint of cedar.
Palate: Medium to full bodied, with ripe dark fruit, fine tannins and a smooth, savoury finish.
