The 2019 St. Émilion Grand Cru from Château Queyron Pindefleurs is a Merlot-led Right Bank red from a family-run estate that has been in the Fillon family since 1937. Grown on clay-limestone and gravelly soils, it shows the supple fruit and savoury polish of St. Émilion and has the benefit of several years of bottle age.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Deep ruby with garnet edges.
Aromas: Blackberry, black plum and morello cherry with cardamom, pepper and a hint of cedar.
Palate: Medium to full bodied, with ripe dark fruit, soft tannins and a smooth, savoury finish.
