The 2023 Aldone from Terre del Marchesato is a 100% Merlot named for the family's patriarch, Aldo, and made from vines planted in 1954. Fermented and aged in new French barriques, it shows the plush, floral and savoury side of Merlot on the Bolgheri coast. The 2023 season brought lower yields and concentrated fruit, protected by the region's sea-moderated microclimate.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Purple-red with a ruby rim, dense.
Aromas: Blueberry, raspberry and cherry with red roses, oregano, marjoram, bay and fig leaf.
Palate: Structured and warm, with a soft entry, balanced enveloping tannins, black pepper and a long finish.

Food Pairings:
