The 2022 Marchesale from Terre del Marchesato is the estate's Bolgheri Superiore, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Grown on the iron-rich clay of the coastal vineyards and aged in French barriques, it combines dark fruit with a cool minty freshness and a long, structured finish. The warm 2022 season gives this vintage extra body and a savoury depth.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Intense, dense ruby.
Aromas: Ripe blackberry and blackcurrant with balsamic and mint notes, black pepper, tobacco and a hint of bergamot.
Palate: Full-bodied and layered, with dark fruit, bitter cocoa, lively acidity and velvety, well-integrated tannins.
