Product Info
The 2024 Schlossberg from Baron Longo is a single‑vineyard Pinot Bianco from 40‑year‑old, pergola‑trained vines at about 300 metres in South Tyrol. The soils are dolomitic limestone and glacial moraine, and the winery is certified organic. Fermentation is spontaneous in large wooden barrels, followed by 12 months on the lees. Fresh, citric and long, with the ability to age for 15 years or more.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Clear straw yellow with golden reflections.
Aromas: Ripe yellow stone fruit and citrus with a hint of pear and herbs, and a fine mineral note.
Palate: Juicy and fresh with delicate citrus and ripe pear, a salty mineral backbone and a long finish.
