The 2022 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 'Antares' from San Lorenzo is a step up from the estate's everyday bottling: a polished, barrel-aged Montepulciano grown on the hillsides of Colline Teramane at around 250-300 metres. Matured in Slavonian oak, it is rich and ripe yet still soft, with the warm, savoury character that makes Abruzzo's signature red so easy to love.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Intense ruby with garnet tones.
Aromas: Ripe dark fruit and preserved cherry, with roasted coffee, liquorice and gentle toasty spice from oak.
Palate: Soft, balanced and persistent, with plush dark fruit and fine, slightly grippy tannins that carry a long finish.
